ESAS, in collaboration with the Cascade Trio, presented a delightful musical performance titled “Until We Meet Again” on Saturday, August 4, 2018. This event showcased the harmonious talents of three young and exceptionally gifted musicians from the Cascade Trio, who brought their musical prowess to Indonesia. The Cascade Trio, a remarkable ensemble, was formed in September 2013 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Within a country where chamber music is a rare gem, the trio ingeniously infused tenderness into this musical genre, offering a sweet treat to the ears of their audience. Comprising violinist Danny Ceri, cellist Ade Sinata, and pianist Airin Efferin, the trio exuded enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to sharing their musical talents through this intimate and captivating format. The essence of their performance lay in the chamber music format, featuring a piano and two string instruments, known as a piano trio. The Cascade Trio emerged as one of Indonesia’s most consistent and dedicated ensembles in this genre, exemplifying a remarkable commitment to their craft. The geographical separation among the trio members made their story even more intriguing – Danny and Ade resided in Yogyakarta, while Airin lived in Bandung. This meant that they embarked on an arduous eight-hour train journey to convene and harmonize their talents in their pursuit of musical excellence and training. This event beautifully encapsulated the essence of ESAS’s mission, which is to enrich the human experience through cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary exchanges. ESAS recognized the profound power of collaboration, and events like “Until We Meet Again” epitomized this spirit. It brought together diverse individuals and entities, transcending geographical boundaries to create moments of musical magic that resonated with audiences and enriched the cultural tapestry of Indonesia.
